Integrations Overview
Nimbu is designed to act as the central hub of your training operations, but it doesn’t have to work in isolation. Through Integrations, you can connect Nimbu to the software your team already uses, from payment gateways to communication tools which ensure that data flows automatically between systems without the need for manual entry.
By leveraging these connections, you can automate student enrolments, track revenue in real-time, and trigger instant notifications, ultimately reducing administrative overhead and improving the learner experience.

Available Integrations in Nimbu
Nimbu supports a range of integrations tailored specifically for the Australian RTO industry:
Financial
- Stripe Connect: The primary payment gateway for processing one-time course fees or recurring subscriptions directly through online registration. Requires a verified Stripe account and is connected via a guided account-linking flow within Nimbu.
Student Management System (SMS)
Wisenet: Nimbu integrates with leading Student Management Systems to synchronise student data, course information, enrolments, and results between platforms. This keeps your compliance records accurate and eliminates the need for double-entry across systems. The SMS integration includes a dedicated data mapping interface, allowing you to align specific fields (such as Student Name or Unit Code) between Nimbu and your SMS to avoid sync errors.
Content & Learning Tools
- LTI 1.3 (Learning Tools Interoperability): The industry standard for connecting external learning tools directly within Nimbu. LTI allows you to launch third-party interactive content, such as Evokio activities, inside the Nimbu interface, with grades and completion data automatically passed back to the Nimbu gradebook. LTI tools are connected using a registration URL or manual configuration details provided by the tool provider.
Communication & Collaboration
- Zoom: Nimbu integrates with Zoom to support live online delivery, including both Meetings and Webinars. Trainers can schedule and launch Zoom sessions directly from within a class. Connected via OAuth account authorisation.
Integration Requirements
Each integration authenticates differently. Below is a brief summary of what is required to establish each connection.
- Stripe Connect: Guided account-linking flow to connect your existing Stripe account directly within Nimbu's Billing settings.
- Wisenet / VETtrak: OAuth authentication combined with API keys and webhooks. Requires an active SMS account and API credentials from your provider.
- Zoom: OAuth account connection to authorise Nimbu to access your Zoom account via a standard login flow.
- LTI Tools: Registration URL (automatic setup) or manual configuration using credentials provided by the LTI tool provider.
Note: For SMS integrations, data mapping configuration is required after the initial connection is established. This allows you to align fields between Nimbu and your student management system to ensure accurate data synchronisation.
Navigation to Integration Settings
Managing your connections is handled through the Integrations section of the global Settings menu:
- Click the Settings gear icon at the bottom of the left-hand navigation sidebar.
- Select Integrations from the secondary menu to view your active and available connectors.
- Use the dedicated sub-pages to configure each integration:
- Integrations: LTI tool connections and SMS (Wisenet/VETtrak) setup.
- Other Integrations: Zoom Meetings and Webinars connection.

Payment Settings: To manage your Stripe payment gateway, navigate to Billing & Subscriptions -> Stripe Connect.
