Adding Course to Catalog

The Course Catalog is a public-facing microsite designed to provide an accessible experience for students to browse and discover your training programs. Listing a course in the catalog gives it a professional public presence: displaying course details and providing a direct path to registration for prospective students.

What's Covered in This Article

This article details how to manage your course's visibility on the Nimbu Course Catalog.

Enabling Catalog Visibility

A course must be manually authorised before it appears on the public catalog. There are two places where this can be managed:

From the Course Settings:

  1. Navigate to the Course Info tab of your selected course.
  2. Locate the Course Details section.
  3. Toggle the Add to Course Catalog switch to on.

From Microsite Settings:

Navigate to Settings > Microsite > Courses tab. Each course in your registry has a visibility toggle that syncs with the Add to Course Catalog setting in the course itself. Changes made in either location are reflected in both.

Enrolment Requirements

Enabling the catalog toggle makes the course visible to the public — students can view the course details and listing regardless. However, for students to successfully complete their enrolment from the catalog, one of the following must be in place:

  • A published class exists: At least one active class must be attached to the course to receive new enrolments.
  • Self-Served is enabled: If no manual class is attached, enabling the Self-Served setting allows the system to manage enrolments automatically. See the Setting: Self-Served Courses article for more detail.

Display Order

The sequence in which courses appear in the catalog is managed through Microsite Settings. To adjust the display order:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Microsite > Courses tab.
  2. Use the drag-and-drop handles to arrange courses in the order you want them to appear to students.
  3. Save your changes.

Positioning your most in-demand or high-priority qualifications at the top of the list improves visibility and discovery for prospective students.
