Michi Assistant AI-Tutor supporting for student
Michi Tutor Assistant is specifically designed to deepen student comprehension of learning materials. Critically, it operates by guiding student thinking and fostering conceptual understanding, rather than defaulting to the direct provision of answers. This approach ensures a more effective and durable learning outcome

Student can access Michi's assistance by clicking into Michi Icon on top of Learning Materials content pages, including PDFs, videos, SCORM files, articles, and more
The student can click an icon to view the assistant in full screen or click the x icon to close the modal.
How to Use Michi as a Tutor
Michi's primary goal is to deepen student understanding of the current learning material.
When you're viewing a learning material, click the Michi icon in the top right corner to open the assistant. The first time you use it, a modal will open by default. After that, you'll just see the icon, which you can click to open the assistant. From the home screen, you'll have three main options:
- Summarised Lessons: This feature provides a quick, concise summary of the key points and most important ideas from your current learning material. You can copy the summary, regenerate it, or chat with Michi to ask for more details or find related articles.
- Deepening Knowledge: Once summarised, the student can chat with Michi to ask for more details on specific points, find a reference, or get clarification on concepts
- Flashcards: This feature is designed for student memory retention and revision
Michi can generate 5 to 10 flashcards from the learning material to help student review. The questions and answers are kept short and concise (under 15 words) to help with active recall. You can move between questions, view answers, and even try again to test your memory. Your flashcards are saved for later use, so you can come back to them anytime.
- Quick Revision: Michi automatically generates a set of up to 10 flashcards based on key terms and knowledge within the current learning material.
- Memorisation Power: The student can use these flashcards to facilitate strong, long-term memory formation of essential concepts.
- Unlimited Practice: The student can practice with these flashcards an unlimited number of times to enhance recall.
- Practice with Quiz: The Quiz feature serves as a self-assessment assignment, allowing students to retest their learning, reinforce memory, and enhance knowledge at their own pace.
Michi can also create a short quiz (5 to 10 questions) to test your knowledge. Quizzes include a mix of True/False and Multiple Choice and Selection questions. After you finish, you can view your score and see the correct answers. Like flashcards, your quizzes are saved, so you can revisit them later
- Progress Tracking: We keep a record of the student's answers and display a summary of results at the end. The result screen shows the student how many correct answers were achieved. The student can use this summary to decide which areas need revisiting. Then, the student can jump back into the Tutor Mode and ask Michi for extra guidance on those specific areas where help is needed
Important Notes
- Michi is a Focused Tutor: Michi will only address topics directly related to the current Learning Material. This helps the student concentrate and truly master the specific subject matter.
- Guided Learning (No Cheating!): Michi will not provide a direct correct answer to a question. If a student asks a potential assessment question or strays off-topic, Michi will gently guide the student back. For example, it might point to a specific section or heading in the content where the student can find the answer, encouraging the student to engage with the text.
- Positive Reinforcement: Michi will encourage and praise the student when the student correctly answers a question or demonstrates solid understanding!
- The Flashcards and Quizzes features are for practice only and will not affect your grades.
