How To Add/Edit Pre Training Reviews - An Overview


Our LMS platform enables RTOs to create and set comprehensive Pre-Training Reviews (PTRs) as an option for course initiation/enrolment. Designed to help determine a student's competency level to complete the course, as well as provide students with an in-depth understanding of the course content, structure, and level of difficulty, thereby improving the overall user experience and course quality.

It is an invaluable feature of Nimbu that's also quite easy to navigate. Let us give you an overview of how you can add and edit PTRs within our system.

How it Works

To make sure your students answer the set of questions and completes the PTR before they access a course, Pre Training Review must be enabled on that specific course. Once enabled, any enrolled student will be required to take the assessment before proceeding with the actual course material.  

The steps to follow for adding/editing Pre Training Reviews

Step 1 - Sign in to your Nimbu account.


Step 2 - Click on the Content option from the sidebar of your dashboard to access a drop-down menu.

Step 3 -  From the drop-down menu, select Pre Training, and it will take you to the page where you can add/edit your PTRs.

Step 4 - Click the Pre Training Review tab in the header.

Step 5 - Click the Add button in the top right corner of the page.

Step 6 - Click the Pre Training Review option from the right side of the header. 

Step 7 - Add the content title (Default PTR) and a welcome/introduction message in their designated places. The introduction messages is a short initial welcome message for students. You have a toolbar giving you a range formatting and publishing features.

Step 8 - Click the Add Questions button on the right side of the page to start adding various types of questions to the PTR.

Step 9 - For your PTR, you will have six question types to choose from.

  • For adding short answered questions, click the pen icon.
  • For adding true & false type questions, click the T/F icon.
  • For adding multiple choice type questions, click the four boxes with the check mark icon.
  • For adding selection type questions, click the three line icon.
  • For online submission (where you have to upload a pdf or video), click the upward arrow icon.
  • For adding a question set, click the S icon.

*You also have the ability to assign resources from your resource library, you can also add additional sub-questions.

Step 10 - To publish your designed PTR, click the Publish button in the top right corner of the page.
