Billing Overview
Managing Your Platform Investment
The Billing section in Nimbu provides total transparency and control over your platform costs. It is designed to scale with your RTO, ensuring that your subscription investment aligns directly with your active student volume and data storage needs.
By centralising financial oversight, Nimbu allows you to monitor your monthly expenditure, manage payment methods, and retrieve historical tax invoices from a single secure dashboard.
What's Covered in This Article
This guide explains the structure of your Nimbu subscription and how to manage your account's financial health.
- Subscription Model: A breakdown of base costs, active user fees, and storage rates.
- Access Control: Identifying which roles can view and manage financial data.
- Billing Dashboard: An overview of the three functional areas for account management.
Organisation Subscription Explained
Nimbu utilises a transparent pricing model consisting of a base package and variable usage fees to ensure you only pay for what you use:
- Base Package: The main subscription package is $850/month.
- Monthly Active Users (MAU): If your RTO exceeds a monthly average of 100 users, a variable cost of $0.50 per additional monthly active user is added to your invoice.
- Data Storage: Monthly storage is billed based on actual usage at a rate of $1.50 per GB.
Who Can Access Billing?
Because the Billing area contains sensitive financial information and payment controls, access is strictly limited to high-level roles:
- Owner: The primary account holder has full, unrestricted access to all billing and subscription settings by default.
- Admin: An Admin can access and manage billing, subscriptions, and Stripe Connect only if the Owner explicitly grants them permission through the User Permissions settings.
Billing Areas Overview
The billing dashboard is divided into three distinct tabs to help you organize your financial tasks:
Subscription: View your current plan details, active user counts for the month, and current storage consumption.

Payment Information: Manage the credit card or bank account details used for your automated monthly subscription payments.

Billing History: Access a chronological log of all past transactions and download official tax invoices for your records.
